These bright red Japanese chochin, or lanterns, can be seen displayed on outdoor oden stalls throughout the country. Oden is a hearty meal usually eaten in winter and consists of different vegetables, fish, meat, tofu and eggs boiled in a soy-flavoured broth.
Traditionally covered with paper, these days commercial chochin are made of tough vinyl to withstand the elements. This is the perfect item to add that Japanese touch to your room, home or business.
Note: when opening for the first time, it's best to do so in a warm (and preferably humid) area to loosen up the vinyl.

The waist measurement options are accurate so make sure to get your actual size in cm & not go one size up or down. These are obviously really well made pants & seeing as that's the case it's safe to say all other Toraichi items are of the same premium quality. Definitely worth a second purchase.
Super comfortable, water tight and they go on and come off like a breeze. I hope to get a few years out of these boots and when it's time, I will replace them with the very same boots.
