Unfortunately, the "magic" in this product name doesn't refer to special powers they will give you. Other than maybe the power to turn heads and gets all sorts of compliments. Magic is the Japanese word for velcro, which is what these jikatabi use instead of those fiddly kohaze clasps. The safety is for your toes, which are protected by a reinforced resin toe cap. Three velcro straps across the front give this model a very distinctive look as well as a snug fit.

These aren't what you might typically expect from online clothe shopping if you are used to purchasing cheaper clothes like myself. The waist measurement options are accurate so make sure to get your actual size in cm & not go one size up or down. These are obviously really well made pants & seeing as that's the case it's safe to say all other Toraichi items are of the same premium quality. Definitely worth a second purchase.
Super comfortable, water tight and they go on and come off like a breeze. I hope to get a few years out of these boots and when it's time, I will replace them with the very same boots.
