With added cushioning in the insole plus an EVA shock absorbing pad in the heel for greater comfort, these jikatabi are popularly worn at traditional street festivals in Japan. They are exactly the same as the full-size ones, except they use velcro fasteners instead of the more fiddly tabs (kohaze). This makes them much more kid friendly.
The Haritsuke refers to the glued rather than stitched sole. Available in black or white and in two heights depending on the size. We use the number of tabs below just to give an indication of the boot height.

These aren't what you might typically expect from online clothe shopping if you are used to purchasing cheaper clothes like myself. The waist measurement options are accurate so make sure to get your actual size in cm & not go one size up or down. These are obviously really well made pants & seeing as that's the case it's safe to say all other Toraichi items are of the same premium quality. Definitely worth a second purchase.
Super comfortable, water tight and they go on and come off like a breeze. I hope to get a few years out of these boots and when it's time, I will replace them with the very same boots.
