Lafeet Zipang running tabi in bold red. Designed for running, they have several features that provide added performance and comfort. The key feature is the tabi-style toe separation that gives better grip and allows for greater kick and increased stride length and speed.

The Jikatabi are an interesting take on footwear. By separating the hallux from the other digits, the hallux is able to dorsiflex to a greater degree at midstance which in turn roots the
base of the hallux with more inherent strength forming a stronger medial
arch. As for fit, the Rikio Fighter
Shimebuto model fits my high volume foot well. The available depth at toes feels shallow when compared to a model like the Rikio Hadashi. I am having alot of fun studying and using the various jikatabi I have purchased so far. If your first pair does not fit perfectly, play with the models and or sizing. The fit guide is a great reference baseline. Allow yourself some grace when choosing an initial size. It is a starting piont.
