These monpe casual pants are hand-crafted in Japan by Watanosato. With an elasticated waistband and a drawstring, they can easily be adjusted to fit comfortably. Made with 100% Kurumeori cotton.
With its Japanese aesthetic and traditional production techniques that can be traced back to the Edo Period, Kurumeori fabric is the quintessential textile of the Chikugo region in Fukuoka Prefecture. It uses uniformly dyed yarns and is very durable and resistant to color fading because the yarns are thoroughly dyed. The fabric requires the techniques of skilled craftsmen as it goes through many processes before completion such as pattern designing, dyeing, twisting, warping, weaving, and sewing.
Fantastic, just what i have been after for years. Such a great feeling boot to wear around the workshop. Getting much interest in them as well, most people in Australia have no idea about them.

Looks and feels good!
Overall very cool and comfortablepants. You need a big an chunky belt to bring out the full potential with these pants. Also you need to be careful with the import taxes when ordering these. I ordered these in finland and ended up paying more than expected.

Great! However...
Bought two pairs for my partner and I. However misjudged the sizing for my pair. Would have been incredibly helpful to have a size range of the calf area. The pair I got for myself turned out to be too large and didn't fit well so had to buy another pair. Inconvenient to have to do so. Could really juat use more sizing explanation beyond just the foot length. Otherwise these are great and exceptionally comfortable and well built. Fantastic quality. Just needs a bit more online information.
