This jikatabi has a double cushion insole, designed for people who spend a lot of time continuously on their feet - a 3mm sponge cushion, a 3mm EVA cushion, and a cushion gel layer in the heel. It comes in black or white and has 12 metal tabs (kohaze) and four adjustable widths to ensure a snug fit. 100% cotton with cotton lining and a lightweight and flexible rubber sole. All the stitching is reinforced so the seams are strong and durable.

I am 6’4 and 250ibs and finding shoes in my size in Japan is really hard but this place delivered, they look great and feel great and have a cool look to them any bigger dude with a thick frame check these out.
as I am in the USA, work in a world, with too many choices for working clothes, I can buy what seems sensible,am unhappy the moment I try them on.Except in this case. I can move my shoulders, arms as well,and crawl and reach,without the need to re-adjust my sloppy,untucked,western shirt situation.Truly great to not be embarassed by clothes, These are the best!

These are my fourth pair of Toraichi, and although I originally intended them to be something of a novelty, (I chose camouflage, accordingly) these are my favorite cut, thus far.
I intend to acquire more of them, in more colors, as I could wear these every day. The cotton fabric, in conjunction with the roominess of the cut imparts a micro-climate effect that helps regulate temperature much more comfortably than western work pants. Less weight at the cuffs makes them easier to walk around in, and they don't drag at the cuffs or at the seat, nor do they bind.
And, yes-- "fighting spirtit at work!" is more than just a slogan. I am old enough to remember the world before civilian cargo pants, when the work of cowboys dictated what the rest of us wore to work in the US. When cargos hit the scene, they gave one the feeling of "combat readiness," as they were adapted from Battle Dress Uniforms, but they are a flawed concept.
Toraichi imbue the wearer with a similar feeling of readiness and ability, but with a much less militaristic attitude; "fighting spirit," with the intent to do one's best, and not necessarily to defeat, dominate, or harm anything in the process.
For me, and the life I live-- they are perfect, even though I do not ride horses.

These shoes are great. Im so glad that the size 31 cm ones got restocked because that size for Rikio tabis is the only one that fits me. As mentioned in the description, these tabis have double cushion insoles(hence the name), so it’s very comfortable walking around in them, especially if you’re on your feet for long periods of time. While they don’t feel as grounded as the Rikio Fighter tabi shoes, the Double Cushion tabis is the perfect gateway to minimalist tabi footwear.
That said, I would advise against taking out the insoles. From what I can gather they’re stitched into the tabis, so unless the insoles somehow get damaged and needs replacing, taking them out is not recommended. That aside, these are amazing tabi shoes overall.
