Toraichi is Japan's leading manufacturer of quality workwear.

Toraichi use a pretty simple system for the sizing of their work pants - you choose your size based on your waist measurement in centimeters. The length/inseam measurement is fairly consistent across the wide range of waist sizes.

It's helpful to understand a couple of Japanese words that are used in the product names. Cho means "very". So, cho long means "very long", while chocho long means "very, very long." And of course, chochocho long means...you've got it - "very, very, very long." So, the more cho's in the name, the longer the pants for a given waist size, and therefore the baggier the pants will sit.

The words shichibun and hachibun mean "seven parts" and "eight parts" respectively. And these words are used to indicate how far down the leg the pants remain baggy before they are tapered in to the calf or ankle. Shichibun pants are baggy for 70% of the leg and look more like riding pants (which, confusingly, is also used as a product name), whereas hachibun pants are baggy for 80% of the leg, so basically down to the ankle.

The different series (2530, 441, 7260) indicate items made of different fabric (100% cotton, 100% polyester, herringbone pattern, etc.). Tops and bottoms of the same series will match.
