Your Own Izakaya
Every night across Japan, these bright red chochin, or lanterns, draw millions of people in for a drink and a meal. The izakaya is a casual style restaurant. As the characters on the lantern literally mean a place that serves alcohol, it is the traditional Japanese equivalent of a pub. The local izakaya is always a center of lively conversation and a place to meet friends old and new.
Traditionally covered with paper, these days commercial chochin are made of tough vinyl to withstand the elements. This is the perfect item to add that Japanese touch to your room, home or business.
Note: when opening for the first time, it's best to do so in a warm (and preferably humid) area to loosen up the vinyl.

The Jikatabi are an interesting take on footwear. By separating the hallux from the other digits, the hallux is able to dorsiflex to a greater degree at midstance which in turn roots the
base of the hallux with more inherent strength forming a stronger medial
arch. As for fit, the Rikio Fighter
Shimebuto model fits my high volume foot well. The available depth at toes feels shallow when compared to a model like the Rikio Hadashi. I am having alot of fun studying and using the various jikatabi I have purchased so far. If your first pair does not fit perfectly, play with the models and or sizing. The fit guide is a great reference baseline. Allow yourself some grace when choosing an initial size. It is a starting piont.
