Hadashi means barefoot, and this model is designed to be light yet as sturdy and waterproof as possible. Distinctive sole with added waterproof strip, this is one of Rikio's longest-selling models. It comes in blue and has 5 metal tabs (kohaze), and four adjustable widths ensure a snug fit.
100% cotton with a flexible-rubber, non-slip sole. White/aquamarine cotton lining and the insole is simply a thick cotton padding. All the stitching is reinforced so the seams are strong and durable.

The Jikatabi are an interesting take on footwear. By separating the hallux from the other digits, the hallux is able to dorsiflex to a greater degree at midstance which in turn roots the
base of the hallux with more inherent strength forming a stronger medial
arch. As for fit, the Rikio Fighter
Shimebuto model fits my high volume foot well. The available depth at toes feels shallow when compared to a model like the Rikio Hadashi. I am having alot of fun studying and using the various jikatabi I have purchased so far. If your first pair does not fit perfectly, play with the models and or sizing. The fit guide is a great reference baseline. Allow yourself some grace when choosing an initial size. It is a starting piont.
