Soukaido make very sturdy work boots. This jikatabi type has reinforced steel toe protection; rubber-coated metal "spikes" on the sole; protective padding for the ankles; nylon-reinforced cotton canvas uppers; partly water-proofed; three velcro fasteners for convenience and a perfect fit; a tough but flexible sole, webbed at the toe to prevent debris from getting caught.
Similar to the I-88 and I-98 models except for the additional steel toe cap.

Purchased these in hopes for a experimental sock-like lightweight indoor shoes. Noticed quite quickly that due to its "rubber on sock" was quite prone to damage if not worn in water (like it is supposed to). Works extremely well for watersports

The fit around the waist is spot on, and the range of motion they offer is unparalleled. They breath well during the summer, and coupled with a long sleeve moisture wicking shirt keep you cool and protected from the sun. 👍 I highly recommend for summer time work wear

These Jika Tabi's are great! You can feel the ground and the steps of the ladder like walking around barefoot.

Wow what a great pair of work boots!
These are my second pair and they are the most comfortable pair of work boots I've even owned. I either spend hours in the seat of a truck or walk 5 to 10km a night while at work and these keep my feet comfortable and warm in all but the coldest weather.
Almost zero drop and plenty of space in the toe boxes, make these boots perfect for big feet and people concerned about foot health. The steel toe caps keep my employer happy too!
The only downside is they are not water resistant, this can be solved by using a wash in waterproofer.
I've also successfully washed them in a washing machine.
Only reason I bought a second pair is that the soles were starting to wear out. All the stitching and glue on my first pair is still intact after 9+ months of wearing 50+ hours per week.
The XL option from Japan zone means even people like me with giant feet can now enjoy comfort while at work. Try them for a week and I'm sure you won't be going back to regular work boots!
Lastly the service from Japan zone is out of this world. I've never come across a company online who gives the kind of service i'd expect from a local shop where you know the owner!
