These medium size tabi socks are made of a breathable blend of bamboo fiber and cotton that prevents odors and wicks away moisture from the foot. Perfect for summer weather. They are ideal for wearing with our popular jikatabi. Ankle height.
These socks have a split for the large toe so that they may easily and comfortably be worn with various Japanese footwear. The separation of the big toe is said to have health benefits as the flexing of the big toe both relaxes and stimulates the brain.

The Jikatabi are an interesting take on footwear. By separating the hallux from the other digits, the hallux is able to dorsiflex to a greater degree at midstance which in turn roots the
base of the hallux with more inherent strength forming a stronger medial
arch. As for fit, the Rikio Fighter
Shimebuto model fits my high volume foot well. The available depth at toes feels shallow when compared to a model like the Rikio Hadashi. I am having alot of fun studying and using the various jikatabi I have purchased so far. If your first pair does not fit perfectly, play with the models and or sizing. The fit guide is a great reference baseline. Allow yourself some grace when choosing an initial size. It is a starting piont.
